PREPARATION LESSONS FOR OFFICIAL CERTIFICATES OF ENGLISH

The ENGLISH ACADEMY offers a special programme to prepare students for the prestigious ESOL (English as a Second Language) tests of the University of Cambridge which can be taken in Brussels in June. The high success rate of our students reflects the quality of these courses that are unrivalled in Belgium.
The Cambridge Certificates, recognised around the world, will definitely increase your chances on the job market. Such an official diploma of English also gives the holders access to British and other universities. For companies, the test results constitute an objective and all-round assessment of their personnel’s knowledge of English.

We organise English lessons that prepare you in the best possible way for these exams. These lessons are available at three different levels, depending on your starting level (minimum intermediate). A level test will determine for which of the following English classes you can register:

First Certificate in English (FCE) / IELTS
Required starting level: intermediate
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) / IELTS
Required starting level: high
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) / IELTS
Required starting level: advanced

All aspects of the language are covered in class: conversation, listening comprehension, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, etc.
Participants will be asked to do homework, so that the lesson time can be devoted mainly to speaking and comprehension skills and to essential explanations. This will accelerate the students’ progress.
The programme is therefore accessible to all those who wish to study English in a more academic and structured way. There is no obligation to take the exam.

The price of this programme depends on the type of lessons that you choose. The course fee includes all of your course material, but not the fee for the exam.

The English Academy offers different types of lessons to prepare for these exams:

Mondays from 6 to 9 pm
evening group lessons (same price and timetable as the other group lessons)
Saturday mornings from 10 am to 1 pm
Saturday group lessons (same price and timetable as the other group lessons)
Individual lessons
Flexible timetable
